Next-generation NIR spectroscopy and how to use it for high-throughput food testing

Traditional wet chemistry methods for food testing tend to be slow and wasteful. In contrast, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is chemical-free and can be used to determine multiple QC parameters in a few seconds with a single measurement.
Join us for a free webinar on September 25, where Dr. Nicolas Rühl, Product Manager Spectroscopy, and Andreas Agerer, Application Specialist Spectroscopy at Metrohm International Headquarters, will introduce NIRS and explore its wide range of applications for food quality control.
In short laboratory demonstrations, the presenters will showcase the analysis of moisture, fat, protein, and other food parameters using the newly released OMNIS NIR Analyzer. Highlighting key features such as intuitive measurement workflows, calibration at the push of a button, and fully automated analysis of more than 200 samples, the presenters will show you how to boost your food testing to a whole new level of performance.
Don't miss this opportunity and register today!
Join us for this event and learn:
- What NIR spectroscopy is and how it works
- How to perform NIR analysis to determine typical food quality parameters
- How NIR spectroscopy helps you save time and costs of your routine food testing
- How unique features of the OMNIS NIR Analyzer make NIR analysis easy to use for everyone
Who should attend?
- QC and QA managers from the food industry, lab managers, lab technicians
Presenter: Dr. Nicolas Rühl (Product Manager Spectroscopy, Metrohm International Headquarters)
Dr. Nicolas Rühl works at the Competence Center Spectroscopy at Metrohm International Headquarters since 2015. In this time, he has been in charge of developing the near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy business at Metrohm. Nicolas has a Master in Business Administration and received his PhD in physical chemistry on single-molecule spectroscopy using Vis-NIR and Raman spectroscopy technologies.
Presenter: Andreas Agerer (Application Specialist NIRS, Metrohm International Headquarters)
Andreas Agerer is an Application Specialist at Metrohm AG, working in the Competence Center Spectroscopy since 2018. In this time, he has been responsible for developing NIRS methods tailored to new application areas and supporting sales teams during feasibility studies. Andreas completed his university graduate work in the field of polymer analysis using vibrational spectroscopy.
