Karl Fischer in Action: Moisture Analysis in a High-Throughput Testing Lab

The Karl Fischer (KF) method is a globally trusted technique for determining water content across a wide range of sample types. While the procedure is routine in many labs, chemical testing laboratories face a unique challenge: analyzing an ever-changing array of unknown and complex matrices.
Join us to learn how one of the world’s largest chemical testing laboratories tackles complex moisture analysis. Krystal Heffelfinger, an experienced chemistry technician at Intertek, will share challenges she encounters when analyzing everything from industrial chemicals, adhesives, and lubricants to pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, and personal care products. With such a wide sample scope, each day brings a new moisture determination puzzle.
Eduardo Simões, Titration Product Specialist at Metrohm USA, will demonstrate how KF automation helps streamline workflows, improve consistency, and boost throughput for labs managing high sample volumes.
Stay for the live Q&A session, where Krystal and Eduardo will answer your questions and share practical insights for tackling difficult samples. Attendance will be recognized with a certificate you can add to your professional development portfolio.
This mini course is ideal for:
- Those interested in learning the fundamentals and nuances of Karl Fischer titration
