From APIs to Impurities and Excipients – Ion Chromatography for Pharmaceutical Analysis
Metrohm: From APIs to Impurities and Excipients – Ion Chromatography for Pharmaceutical Analysis
Ion chromatography (IC) has become the preferred method for ion analysis, replacing many time-consuming and laborious wet-chemical techniques such as gravimetry, nephelometry, turbidimetry, etc. IC is a multi-parameter method and can be used for the determination of a wide array of anions, cations, transition metals, amines, carbohydrates, and organic acids.
In fact, the United States Pharmacopeia has modernized a substantial number of monographs to stipulate IC methods for numerous pharmaceutical assays of APIs as well as analysis of impurities and excipients. In a joint webinar on March 6, Dr. Raman, Director, Analys Lab, India, and Niranjan Kothandaraman, Product Manager Ion Chromatography at Metrohm India, will introduce you to applied ion chromatography. They present a number of applications to determine typical anions and cations, among them nitrite and nitrate, the precursors of nitrosamines.
After their presentation, they will address any questions you may have in a Q&A session at the end of the webinar. Register for this event now and get to know the potential of IC for your daily routine analytics!
Key learnings of this webinar:
- Learning what ion chromatography is and how it can be used for identification and quantification of assay, impurities, and excipients
- Understanding validated IC methods for pharmaceutical applications
- Getting to know an IC method to determine nitrite and nitrate, the precursors of nitrosamines
Who should attend?
R&D managers, QC managers, lab technicians and chemists responsible for R&D and QC in research, development, and manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
