Mass Spectrometry for the Masses, Open Access LC and LC/MS Using Agilent WalkUp

Agilent’s MassHunter WalkUp simplifies routine assays that allows all users access to instrumentation for their samples. WalkUp is a software interface with predefined users and acquisition methods for both LC and LC/MS instrumentation.
Here we will provide an introduction to WalkUp briefly discussing the user experience from the administrator (setting up groups, users, methods, data analysis confirmation) and users’ (running samples) perspectives. We will highlight a few workflows including small molecule mass analysis to large intact protein confirmation.
Presenter: Caroline Chu (LC/MS Application Scientist, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)
Caroline is an LC/MS Application Scientist with Agilent with over 7 years experience supporting the LC-Q/TOF, QQQ, and IM-QTOF MS and automation, including AssayMap and Rapid Fire. Her focus is on BioPharma applications including intact proteins, native MS, glycomics, high-throughput screening and life science applications including proteomics, targeted proteomics and metabolomics.
Prior to joining Agilent she completed her undergraduate work at San Francisco State University in Biochemistry before moving on to her Ph.D in Biophysics at the University of California, Davis, working on clinical glycomics with high resolution MS, under the guidance of Professor Carlito Lebrilla. She completed her post-doctoral work at the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, WA working targeted proteomics on the human proteome under the guidance of Robert Moritz and in collaboration with Lee Hood and Ruedi Abersold.
