Phil Waggoner, Ph.D. is a genomics professional with experience supporting the development and adoption of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies for research and clinical applications. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, he collaborates across technical, commercial, and customer-facing teams to implement NGS solutions that support precision medicine. Phil earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University, where his research focused on semiconductor technologies and biosensors, and he has authored several peer-reviewed publications in nanotechnology and genomics. His background spans scientific research, technology development, and commercial strategy, providing him with a broad perspective on the opportunities and challenges of applying NGS in clinical settings.
