Enhanced Sensitivity and Selectivity with Tof MRM
High resolution mass spectrometry is being asked to step up and achieve the levels of sensitivity akin to that of tandem quadrupole mass spectrometry. The question is…can it deliver? During this session we’ll look at the acquisition and processing of Tof MRM on the Xevo MRT MS. The system incorporates multi-reflecting time-of-flight technology that achieves excellent levels of sensitivity over a wide dynamic range, ideal for qualitative and quantitative applications. We’ll assess the results in the MS Quan Application, part of the waters_connect Software Solution, for efficient data processing and data review. And yes – the Xevo MRT MS can deliver

Presenter: Matt Daly PhD (Senior Applications Chemist - Xevo MRT Program, Waters Corporation)
Matthew Daly joined Waters in September 2022 and is currently working as a Senior Scientist in the Xevo MRT Science Team. Matthew’s main focus and area of expertise lies in LC-MS discovery bottom-up proteomics using high-resolution mass spectrometry with a particular interest in biomarker discovery and translation through to targeted applications.
Matthew obtained a BSc Hons from Swansea University in Biochemistry and Genetics before completing a MSc by Research in Nanotechnology at the same institution. After a brief time in industry developing food allergen ELISAs, Matthew returned to academia to complete his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Manchester where he developed a targeted mass spectrometry method to detect and quantify gluten in foods.
