Presenter: Sean McCormick, PhD (Manager, North America Application Support - Applied Markets Lab Team, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
Sean McCormick earned his PhD in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, where he focused on developing bioanalytical approaches to studying metal homeostasis in biological systems. During his time in Texas, he contributed to over 12 collaborative peer-reviewed papers and presentations.
After completing his degree, Sean held an academic and instrument core laboratory leadership position at Ferris State University. In 2017, he joined Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he has held various field and laboratory roles, including life science mass spectrometry products and ion chromatography. He is currently the North American Applied Markets Lab Application Support Team Manager.
In this role, Sean leverages his extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and his inquisitive nature to support Thermo Fisher Scientific customers in both pre- and post-sales situations.
