Presenter: Dr. Lalitha R Gowda (Chief Scientist (Rtd), CSIR - Central Food Technological Research Institute)
Dr. Gowda retired as Chief Scientist at CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore in the year 2014. She obtained her Ph. D in Biochemistry from Baylor University, Texas USA and a Post-doctoral training at the Department of Biochemistry University of Cambridge, UK.
Her professional experience as a research scientist, with specialization in the areas of structural biology of plant proteins, protein engineering and analytical biochemistry and food safety, including grass-root work, academic activities, consultation, and positions of institutional leadership spans over three and half decades. She has over 90 peer-reviewed research publications in journals of repute
She has a long experience as advisor and consultant to the Government in regulatory developments around health and nutrition, food analysis, and harmonization of standards in biotechnology and food safety programs.
