Learn how you can meet these challenges with the latest enhancements for peptide & protein characterization with the Agilent 6545XT AdvanceBio LC/Q-TOF. The 6545XT has been designed for biopharma workflows. Excellent intact protein analysis and spectra quality are achieved by ultrahigh vacuum as well as a designated large molecule autotune. Both substantially benefit native analysis of multispecifics and antibody–drug conjugates. With a mass range of up to 3,000 m/z, they future proof new developments. Flash characterization using microdroplet reactions facilitates fast subunit analysis, either by reduction or IdeS digest within the standard dual Agilent Jet Stream source. Iterative MS/MS benefits both exhaustive peptide mapping as well as host cell protein analysis. Dedicated workflows in Agilent MassHunter BioConfirm software allow for streamlined data analysis, also including the analysis of oligo workflows as sequence confirmation and impurity analysis.

With an education in chemistry, Chris Klein received his PhD in 2005 at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried, Germany, working on membrane proteins and mass spectrometry. After a post doctorate and three years as demo chemist and product specialist with Bruker Daltonics, Chris joined the Agilent LC/Q-TOF R&D team in 2010. Since 2018, he has been the LC/Q-TOF and IM-QTOF product manager. 

Presenter: Joseph Meeuwsen, PhD (Product Manager ExD, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)

Dr. Joseph Meeuwsen is the product manager for ExD technologies at Agilent. He completed his PhD in molecular and cellular biology at Oregon State University (OSU) in 2020. During his PhD, he started working at e-MSion, Inc., a company started in 2015 by OSU researchers to develop the ExD cell platform into a commercial product. His initial role as an applications scientist expanded to include diverse responsibilities in the areas of support, sales, marketing, and R&D. He became product manager for the ExD cell in 2021 and continued this role when Agilent acquired e-MSion in 2023.
