Benefits of Co-Solvation Methods for Non-target PFAS Analyte

Co-solvation (a direct inject method) is ideal for testing analytes as they transition from non-target to target PFAS compounds. Combustion methods are good for total analyses, but they do not have the ability to speciate.
Accurate mass instrumentation (e.g., QTOF) is great for compound identification, but it is not ideal for quantitation. A direct inject method eliminates the need for choosing an SPE (solid phase extraction) cartridge, which is beneficial since SPE is a layer of selectivity that presents an additional hurdle for new analytes. Direct injection bypasses SPE obstacles, which streamlines and optimizes method development, allowing a quicker and more dependable response to rapidly evolving PFAS testing needs. This presentation explores the unique advantages of direct inject methods and helps transition from non-target compounds to quantitative actionable results.
