Wai-Chi Man, MRSC has been with Thermo Fisher Scientific since 2011. She started on the application sales support team but is now a product marketing manager. She has specialized in ion chromatography (IC) for more than 33 years, with over 36 years of experience in analytical chemistry in a wide variety of techniques. Before Thermo Fisher Scientific, she spent seven years at Wellcome Research supporting structural elucidation for medicinal chemists using a wide range of analytical instrumentation. Wai-Chi spent a total of 20 years in the pharma industry as part of GlaxoSmith Kline, from research to transferring methods to manufacturing. She worked on and was responsible for many drugs from anti-viral to respiratory in the market today.
Wai-Chi’s work at Thermo Fisher Scientific has supported a wide range of customers from various industries, providing IC support in method development, troubleshooting, sample preparation, trainings, seminars, events, and workshops. This experience has helped her build greater knowledge, skill and understanding within areas such as IC-MS, IC-ICP-MS, HPAE-PAD analysis, metabolomics, and polar pesticides.
