Avoiding Chromatography Heartbreak - Common LC Pitfalls
Agilent Technologies: Avoiding Chromatography Heartbreak - Common LC Pitfalls
Whether you’re new to HPLC or have been doing it for years, you may find that things just aren’t going the way you want them to.
There are many pitfalls or “gotchas” that can cause problems. Even the issue of what tubing and fittings are compatible and which are not can be a serious impediment to a successful HPLC separation.
In this talk, we will discuss:
-
The importance of connections
-
Mobile phase considerations
-
Quality
-
Preventing microbial growth
-
Sample/solvent compatibility
-
Column characteristics; their importance and limitations
-
The importance of sample prep
Avoiding these pitfalls can help you achieve long-term, reliable results.
