Agilent Technologies: Polar Analytes C18 Didn’t Work, Now What
C18 is the most common column for HPLC but what if it doesn’t work for your sample. Very polar compounds have poor retention in reversed phase and can be challenging to separate.
In this talk, we will discuss changes to your reversed phase conditions that can help. We’ll also look at the benefits of choosing a more polar stationary phase. If reversed phase doesn’t work you may need to explore other types of chromatography, like HILIC or Ion Pair Chromatography.
