Waters Corporation: A Robust and Reliable MS Platform to Meet the Challenges of Extractables and Leachables Analysis

Hear from Dr Andrew Feilden, Bicycle Therapeutics, on the application needs of Extractables and Leachables (E&L) analysis and learn how the latest Xevo G3 QTof Mass Spectrometer has been developed to ideally meet these requirements.

The presentation will cover a brief introduction to extractables and leachables and will then cover the guidance's and regulations that could be applied to biopharmaceuticals. It will close with some of the practicalities and issues in achieving successful studies.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to see the Xevo G3 QTof system in operation in the European Demo Lab and hear an overview of the instrument from the product management team.

Presenter: Dr Andrew Feilden (Director Analytical Sciences, Bicycle Therapeutics)

Andrew joined Bicycle Therapeutics as Director Analytical Science in October and is responsible for the CMC analytical activities within the company.

Prior to Bicycle he has spent over 10 years at CROs leading Extractable and Leachables, as well as over 10 years at AstraZeneca. He has presented on the field of Extractables and Leachables in 17 countries. He has a degree and D Phil from the University of York, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and was a Scientific Advisor to IPAC-RS and ex-co-chair of ELSIE.

Presenter: Dr Jayne Kirk (Principal Product Marketing Manager, Waters Corporation)

Jayne is a Product Marketing Manager at Waters with over 18 years’ experience in LC/MS instrumentation, technologies and software. She graduated from York University, UK, with a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and has previously held several scientific roles at Waters, developing applications and supporting customers. Her passion for translating technical information into impactful scientific messaging was the driving force behinds Jayne’s move to marketing.
