Mass Spectral Analysis Using KnowItAll Software & Spectral Libraries
The KnowItAll software, combined with the high-quality spectral reference data, provides one of the most advanced technologies for fast, accurate spectral analysis. And with the recently released KnowItAll 2021, we added even more spectral intelligence, including a new patent-pending analysis tool specifically for mass spec analysis.
In this session, we will introduce various search strategies for analysis using unknown spectra. Through a series of examples, we will demonstrate:

- Reverse Search
- Mixture Analysis
- Adaptive Search (Patent Pending)
We will also introduce you to other important tools for mass spectrometry such as database building, elemental composition and isotopic distribution calculators, and mass fragmentation.
Presenter: Michelle D’Souza, Ph. D
Dr. D’Souza is Product Manager for Wiley Science Solutions. She brings years of insight and knowledge in the area of spectral informatics with leadership roles at Wiley and Bio-Rad Laboratories. In addition to multiple years as a scientific researcher at Abbott (now AbbVie) and DuPont. She has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northern Illinois University and a Masters in Analytical Chemistry form the Chinese Academy of Preventative Medicine. She earned a BS degree from Chemistry Department of Beijing University.
