Presenter: Dr. Stefano Netti (Head of laboratory, Security and Quality s.a.s Castellana Grotte, Bari (IT))
Dr. Stefano Netti has a BS in Chemistry from the University of Bari, he started in 1990 his career since 1990 in various chemistry company in the north of Italy. He came back to his own region in the south where he is head of laboratory at Security and Quality a small CTL of the food supply chain in Puglia. As a lab manger he is responsible of the full workflow evaluation of the methods. Security and quality is accredited from the Italian audit institute ACCREDIA.

Dr. Debora D’Addona has a BS Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Florence. In the past she worked as a post- doctoral position at the ICMUB in Dijon and Ecole Normal Superieur in Paris. She worked in the academia to develop new drug for cancer. She joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2012 as HPLC specialist for biopharma and then move to GC-GCMS application specialist. In the past year she was involved in training and method development for customer mainly in food and environmental laboratory.
In 2016 she joined the group of LSMS South as Sales support specialist for the new TSQ family. She is involved in method development training on the all LSMS portfolio of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Presenter: Jim Garvey (Head of Food Chemistry, Ph. D., B. Sc. (hons), Department of Agriculture, Food and The Marine, Dublin, Ireland)
Jim Garvey graduated from The National University of Ireland (Galway) in 1988 with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. After seven years in the pharmaceutical industry as a Research Chemist he became the process development manager in a company producing high purity solvents for GC, HPLC and MS. In 1999 he joined the Pesticide Control Laboratory and led the laboratory through many changes since then from the introduction of Mass Spectrometry techniques through various phases culminating in the implementation of HRMS techniques and the dioxin crisis in 2008.
In October 2019 he was appointed Head of Food Chemistry at the department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The objective of the new division is to build a centre of excellence for Food Chemistry within the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine.
