Panel Discussion: Lessons Learned from Transitioning to New Chromatography Instrumentation and Vendors

Pharmaceutical companies are known for being reluctant to change instrument types or instrument vendors, as this impacts associated qualification and documentation procedures, as well as training activities.
Potential triggers for new instrument types or new instrument vendors in pharmaceutical laboratories include better performance and reliability of the new equipment. In other cases, external decisions drive the use of dedicated instrument types.
At Thermo Fisher Scientific Pharma Services, the transition to a new fleet of chromatography equipment – into an existing, up and running chromatography data system (CDS) made a lot of people nervous at first – on both sides of the effort: laboratory and equipment manufacturer alike. In this session, our panelists discuss how to overcome the implementation dip when introducing a new instrument type in a regulated environment. They will also review lessons learned in transitioning to Thermo Fisher Vanquish HPLC equipment in the Empower CDS environment.
This session includes short presentations from our panelists, and a panel discussion. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions of our panel experts.
