Waters Corporation: Experience and Perspective on the Cyclic IMS for Characterization of Oligo-/Polysaccharides
He will also discuss his experiences with the SELECT SERIES Cyclic IMS and how the application of this ground-breaking technology within a powerful flexible instrument provides a tool to help address the challenges of isomerism and provide a means of answering many new questions.
What You Will Discover:
- IMS and Cyclic IMS technology can impact the detailed characterization of oligo-/polysaccharides
- The novel Cyclic IMS technology can help provide a means of answering many new questions
- How to help address the challenges of isomerism
Presenter: David Ropartz, PhD (Analytical Chemist and Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Manager, INRAE)
David has been working in the mass spectrometry lab of Helene Rogniaux’s group at INRAE Nantes since 2007. In 2015, he earned his PhD and took charge of the Mass Spec group in 2017. He has contributed to recent developments in mass spectrometry for the structural characterization of polysaccharides.
His expertise is in the following areas:
- Alternative activation methods in MS / MS: using ion-photon and ion-ion interactions.
- Improved separation and resolution of isomers: high resolution in ion mobility.
