Allen Martin is a public health scientist and PFAS Unit Supervisor at NCDEQ, leading the analytical lab focused on PFAS detection and method development. He holds degrees in biochemistry, organic chemistry, and an MBA from UNC Wilmington, and has 18+ years’ experience in PFAS analysis, environmental testing, and statewide monitoring.

Thermo Fisher Scientific)Richard Cochran is a Senior Application Scientist for LSMS at Thermo Fisher Scientific with 18+ years of mass spectrometry experience. He holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and he currently focuses on advancing mass spectrometry solutions that help scientists around the world improve the global environment and our quality of life.

Michael Ebitson is an analytical sciences professional with extensive experience in environmental labs and global sample preparation. He has led GC/LC workflows, collaborated with the EPA on method development, and now manages Thermo Fisher’s sample prep product lines, specializing in PFAS and POPs.

Thermo Fisher Scientific)Ed George holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame. He spent 15 years in the environmental lab industry developing soil and water methods using GC- and LC-MS/MS and collaborating with the US EPA. Since joining Thermo Fisher in 2014, he has developed workflows for pesticides, veterinary drugs, and PFAS and now serves as EFS Global KOL and Regulatory Affairs Manager.
