Dietary Supplement Quality

With about 3/4 of American adults taking dietary supplements, it is critical to have adequate testing to confirm that dietary supplements consistently meet quality standards for identity, strength, composition and contaminant limits. In this webinar, Virginia (Kit) Goldman, Ph.D. from the USP will share USP resources to support dietary supplement quality. Then Jinchuan Yang, Ph.D. from Waters Corporation will discuss modern analytical tools that can enhance dietary supplement testing. A case study will highlight how to increase throughput and reduce solvent waste with the modernization of the USP Melatonin monograph assay and impurity LC methods. A panel discussion will follow.
Key Learning Objectives
- Learn about USP Resources to support Dietary Supplement Quality
- Modernize LC methods for dietary supplement testing and reduce operation cost
