High Throughput Sample Preparation and Analyses for Trace Residues in Complex Matrices
Shimadzu: High Throughput Sample Preparation and Analyses for Trace Residues in Complex Matrices
Trace residue analysis of complex samples such as food, blood, urine and wastewater is a major concern for many laboratories. The analysis of such samples often requires a highly complicated sample preparation process followed by a sensitive and robust mass spectrometric technique.
In this webinar, Mr Jamie Tan, area sales manager of Biotage AB (Sweden) discusses why automated sample preparation is preferred and presents workflow solutions for your sample preparation needs. Dr Desmond Lin, applications chemist (LC/LCMS) of Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) will introduce the analysis of various samples on Shimadzu tandem LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS for high sensitivity quantitation.
He will show application examples from targeted screening and trace level quantitation of pesticides to the analysis of PFAS in surface water and drinking water, which demonstrates the unique ultrafast MS (UFMS) feature as well as the critical role of well prepared samples in trace residual analysis.
Overview: Introduction to Biotage sample preparation products and workflow Shimadzu application examples for selected food, clinical and environmental sample types Shimadzu technology overview and setup description for best analytical results
Learning Objectives:
-
Showcase Biotage workflow solutions for sample preparation needs
-
Showcase the capabilities of Shimadzu’s LCMS and GCMS instrumentation for trace analyses
