Tips and Tricks to Doing Fast Polarity Switching using Agilent 6546 LCQTOF

In this webinar we will discuss the tips and tricks to setting up the 6546 LCQTOF for operation in Fast Polarity Switching Acquisition mode.
It all starts with setting up the tune page correctly from the preference area. The webinar will give the best parameters to use for this mode of operation. Then we will discuss the best practices on how to setup the MassHunter Qualitative Analysis software to properly extract both the positive and negative ion mass spectral data. We will also discuss some of the advantages and disadvantages of using this mode of QTOF operation.
Presenter: David Weil, PhD (Senior Applications Scientist, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)
David Weil is a senior applications scientist in Agilent located in Wood Dale with over 30 years of experience using mass spectrometry. Prior to joining Agilent in 2004, he worked for 14 years at 3M in the Corporate Research Analytical Laboratories (St.Paul, MN) and 4 years at Nicolet/Extrel doing ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry. David received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and Post Doc with Dr Charles Wilkins at University of California-Riverside developing laser desorption FTMS and ion-molecule reactions.
