Technical Sales Consultant Chromatography

We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Consultant to join our team in Central Europe to represent Phenomenex brand in Czech Republic and Slovakia. Ideally based out of Northern Moravia (Olomouc, Ostrava, Opava) or Eastern Bohemia, you will become part of the local sales team. In this new position you will have direct impact on crafting meaningful relationships with our customers, building sales pipelines across chromatography consumables and instruments, finding new business opportunities and growing our brand's awareness in the local lab and scientific communities!

Duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site customer visits to provide technical information with regards to chromatography related products and services

• Ensure that assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals

• Conduct on-site product demonstrations and/or technical seminars

• Attend local vendor shows and company sponsored trade shows

• Develop relationships with new and existing customers

• Work closely with inside sales team, and sales people from other offices as required

• Develop business plans, market analysis, and sales strategies for assigned territory

• Have a positive attitude, be a team player, and strive to learn and contribute to company culture

• Complete assigned learning plan

• Manage and maintain information in customer database system

• Perform other job-related duties as requested by customers and/or management

• Good working knowledge of chromatography

• Present clearly and to large groups, i.e. seminars & trainings

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Life Science (Chemistry, Biology or similar)

• Knowledge of chromatography - HPLC, GC, SPE, and accessories‎

• Ideally, at least 2 years of experience in Sales

• Requires analytical thinking and presenting ideas

• Experience in Microsoft office and Database Management

• Skilled in the art business development

• Strong organizational skill, plans and assigns resources in a detailed fashion

• Czech and English language skills on a very high level, Slovak language is beneficial as well

• Valid driver’s license
